About Sarah Adams

  • Biography

North London born and raised artist, Sarah Adams, uses a limited colour palette of acrylics anchored with white, in thick, buttery brush marks. Her art practice is inspired by her home city of London, and her works take in well known, recognisable views, painted to create a calming, peaceful feel of what are otherwise, crowded and bustling settings.

The ever-changing, diverse and beautiful London skyline resonates with Sarah and she enjoys recording a moment in time.

Sarah depicts gentle views of London in her distinctive impressionistic style, which allows the viewer to see London in a new light. Using few brushmarks, she assigns a certain mood to London, that from afar looks really detailed.

Her work has been selected for many open exhibitions, including the Summer Exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts, the ING Discerning Eye, Mall Galleries, The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art Open Exhibition and the Figurative Art Now Exhibition at the Mall Galleries; a new exhibition celebrating 60 years of the Federation of British Artists.

She is a prolific artist, exhibiting in many solo and group exhibitions. Her work has been seen at the Battersea Affordable Art Fair, The Strand Gallery, Espacio Gallery, and the Camden Image Gallery amongst others.
