About Promphong Hiruntanakitjakul

  • Biography
My work explores the quiet presence of light - how it diffuses, glows, and settles into color. Through oil paint, I experiment with soft forms and blurred edges to create atmospheres that feel calm, warm, and contemplative. Each piece is less about depicting an object and more about holding a moment of sensation: the way light lingers on a wall, or how color can feel both intimate and expansive at once. I create art as a way to slow down and notice these subtle experiences that often pass unnoticed in daily life. Painting becomes a space for stillness - a gentle counterpoint to the speed and noise of the world around us. I choose to share and sell my work on Artfinder because I want these quiet moments to live beyond my studio. My hope is that each painting can bring a sense of warmth, softness, or pause into someone else’s space — not as decoration alone, but as a presence that changes with light and time, and invites reflection.
