About Pierre Meurice

  • Biography
I have always been animated by the desire the create and have always been drawing. Gradually, this passion turned into an artistic practice.

To me, Art is a natural path and way to connect with the world. Connect with what I see, those I love and what moves me.

It is a quest I kept following wherever life took me - From the North of France until now, living in London, after several years traveling between Europe and Asia - I am driven by the sparkling need to create.

I alternate figuration and abstraction, aiming at rendering a bit of the Truth I observe and the Poetry suggested by what surrounds me.

I work using several mediums (drawing, oil painting, photography...) but have a special love for Pastels, for the richness of their colours, their tactile delicacy, and the variety of textures they offer.
