Paul Cheng
Oil Painters of America (OPA) Signature Member
Paul Cheng is a contemporary painter based in the United States whose art reflects a lifelong pursuit of light, color, and the emotional resonance of everyday life. Born in Guangzhou, China, Paul earned his BFA at the prestigious Guangzhou Fine Art College and later taught there, shaping young artists with his passionate approach to painting. After over 27 years living and working in the U.S., Paul has developed a unique artistic voice that blends Eastern sensibilities with Western impressionistic traditions.
A Signature Member of Oil Painters of America (OPA) and an award-winning artist, Paul’s work has been exhibited internationally and featured in respected art publications such as Southwest Art Magazine.
Paul’s paintings explore:
Urban and street scenes full of narrative
Serene landscapes and beach moments
Figures and emotional snapshots
The poetry of light and atmosphere
