Although Plein Air artists have a knack for making even mundane scenery look beautiful, it makes for a great Plein Air Festival when the views are spectacular!
The landscape in the Heber Valley is stunning, providing lake, mountain, and rural farm vistas; along with quaint historic homes and rustic barns that give professional and amateur artists plenty of subject matter to both challenge, and inspire their work.
Because Midway Art Association’s Plein Air Paradise event is so popular, it gets bigger every year, drawing a growing number of top professional artists, and savvy art collectors. The festival features a Main ‘Plein Air’ Competition as well as local ‘Paint Outs’ and a 90 minute ‘Quick Draw & Auction’ which is a favorite of attendees as they watch amazing artists complete a masterwork in minutes!

Biography
Olya Lane, a native of Russia now residing in Utah, is an artist whose lifelong love for art has shaped her creative journey. Despite initially pursuing a different professional career, she found herself irresistibly drawn back to her artistic roots upon moving to the United States.
Olya's artistic expression is primarily focused on capturing the essence of landscapes, wildlife, and seascapes. These subjects serve as her endless wellspring of inspiration, embodying the profound beauty and harmonious qualities of nature. Through her artwork, she endeavors to immerse viewers in the grandeur of natural vistas that evoke a sense of awe and perfection.
Beyond the visual allure, Olya seeks to engage her audience on a deeper level. Her intention is to stimulate contemplation and prompt reflection upon the extraordinary magnificence of our planet's natural heritage. By imparting a sense of responsibility, she hopes to inspire others to join her in preserving and safeguarding these invaluable treasures for future generations.
