  • Biography
Hello, my name is Olga Goryunova, I am an artist from Russia, I live in Dmitrov, Moscow region. The style in which I work is classical realism. The main theme of my work is landscape painting. I write a lot in nature, I love it very much, it is very important for me to convey the state and mood of what I see, how I pass it through myself, how I feel it. I would like viewers feel calm and peace from my paintings, probably because I go to plein air for these emotions. Also, I paint still lifes and put them in my studio. I try to approach this task thoughtfully to get more than just objects in the plane but creating an image, a little history which would encourage a person to think about something. I like to walk through fields and forests with a sketchbook, depict distances from hills, I love rivers and our nature in general. I work en plein air all four seasons of the year — not a single one remains without an etude.
