About Nataly Derevyanko

  • Biography

I work across various techniques, allowing my practice to evolve naturally with the different stages of my life. My journey began with sacred art, a formative period that deeply influenced my visual language and continues to shape my artistic voice.

The arrival of my children opened a new chapter—one filled with the playfulness and sincerity of children's illustration. More recently, I’ve focused on small-format works, often featuring birds and flowers. These pieces reflect a meditative, intimate approach to composition and detail. However, I now feel that this phase is nearing its conclusion, and I am increasingly drawn to working on a larger scale, exploring new directions and forms of expression.

My work lives in the space between realism and decorativeness. I strive to maintain a delicate balance—capturing not just what is seen, but what is felt. For me, art is an ongoing process of transformation, a search for meaning through form, color, and rhythm.
