About Natalia Butenko

  • Biography
I paint with watercolor — a medium that holds air, light, and the breath of a moment. My work captures the quiet beauty of what surrounds us: flowers in delicate vases, ripe fruit on the table, blooming gardens, and corners of nature we often pass by without noticing. I try to reflect the fragility and wonder of everyday life. I’m especially drawn to winter landscapes of the Russian countryside — blue shadows on snow, sunlight dancing on white stillness, and the vast silence filled with light. These scenes feel like memories, like the sense of home. Watercolor is my way of meditating, breathing, and feeling. It asks for focus and honesty — there’s no place to hide a mistake. But that’s what makes it alive, delicate, and true. I want to present my work on Artfinder because I believe art is a universal language that connects hearts beyond borders. Living in Europe, I feel that my paintings speak to values shared across cultures: subtlety, sincerity, and love for the world in its pure, natural beauty.
