The Hand is a publication that showcases printmakers and other artists who use unique, mixed media, experimental, and idiosyncratic techniques.
I've long admired the magazine and its contributors, and I'm honored to be among those selected for this publication.

Event: Mirror Mirror - Two Self-Portraits Separated by Time
Dates: 15 Nov 2025 - 10 Dec 2025
Mirror Mirror showcased 60 artworks devoted to change, progress, healing, regression and all states in between. A group of 30 independent artists from across the country showed their pairings.
There was an Artist Talk and Collector's preview via Zoom the evening before the Gallery opening, in which many artists discussed their works and techniques.

Event: XXL - Size Matters
Dates: 18 Oct 2025 - 12 Nov 2025
The XXL exhibition showcased LARGE artworks by a variety of accomplished artists from across the US. Each piece was at least 6' in any one dimension.
There was a live demonstration of large-format print techniques, and a drawing to receive the resulting print.
There was also a collector's preview/artists talk on Oct. 17 via Zoom, where anyone was free to join and learn about the pieces being shown and the artists showing them.
Event: Individuation - Grand Opening Solo Show

"Individuation" was the opening exhibition at ShadowBoxX Gallery, featuring approximately 50 of my works.
The term "individuation" refers to the Jungian psychological concept by which a person develops a unique identity and integrates different aspects of their personality. It involves separating from collective norms and achieving a sense of wholeness, ultimately leading to self-realization and personal growth.

Biography
I'm a painter, printmaker and draftsman based in Waukegan, IL. My works have been widely exhibited nationally and collected internationally. I am also founder of ShadowBoxX Gallery, a new art space in the growing arts community of Waukegan.
My work is inspired by nature, urban spaces, inner journeys, absurdities, and working people. I am also influenced by the old masters, the innovation of contemporary artists, and the realms of mythology and psychology.
I channel subconscious imagery from within, to shed light not only upon often-obscured beauty and truth, but also to challenge accepted falsehoods, injustices, intolerance, and inequity.
While I was formally trained in the sight/size realism technique, I thrive on experimentation, including building my own tools to help me execute new ideas.
