About Linda Cares
Biography
I prefer to sculpt with clay. It is a medium that captures nuance like no other in solidifying expressions from soul through the human touch.
My sculptures present as private and contemplative forms whose themes include Venus studies, enigmatic vessels, shrines, as well as figurations of other diverse mythological contents.
I work in a train of consciousness manner. There is no right or wrong here, only the endless possibilities as they present themselves, through a fast-moving process articulating inventive contingencies from a fascinating universe.
The imaginative and exploratory approach I take to my work often involves multiple firings and a timely process of experimentation with unconventional materials often resulting in wonderful and unanticipated effects.
Each of my original works of art follow their own journey until resolved through intuitive reasoning and association.
