About Lina Verano

  • Biography
I was born into a world where creation was as natural as breathing. My father, an architect, taught me how to see structure, balance, and the silent poetry of space. My mother, a painter, showed me how to feel color—how emotion could live inside a brushstroke. Between lines and pigments, I grew up knowing that art was not a choice, but a way of being. My journey took me from Bucharest to Montreal, where I studied at universities of fine arts, absorbing different cultures, techniques, and ways of seeing. Yet no matter where I was, I remained guided by something deeply personal—an instinct to create freely.
I have always been an independent artist. Not bound by trends or expectations, I followed my own path, sometimes uncertain, often challenging, but always honest. My work became a reflection of my life: layered, expressive, and in constant transformation.
Art, for me, is not just what I do—it is where I come from, and who I continue to become.
