About Karina Kopteva

  • Biography
My name is Karina Kopteva, I am an artist originally from Saint Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. I currently live and work in Northern Italy, where I am also an Italian citizen. After years of experience as a tattoo artist, I fully embraced my true vocation in oil painting, which today represents my main professional activity. My artistic style is centered on large-scale floral compositions with a realistic approach, set against dark, almost black backgrounds. This visual contrast enhances the luminosity and expressive power of the flowers, creating a profound emotional impact. Each of my works arises from a contemplative connection with nature and is conceived as an invitation to beauty, silence, and presence. I am a member of the Association of Artists of Cremona, with whom I participated in a group exhibition in the historic city of Stradivari this year. I also took part in collective exhibitions in Crema, and this coming December I will present a personal exhibition in Switzerland, in the renowned Alpine town of Maloja. I also had the honor of showing my works to the Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, who expressed genuine interest after learning about the concept behind my paintings. My artworks are already part of private collections in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. I currently sell successfully through the international platform Singulart, and I am actively expanding my presence there. In addition, I create commissioned artworks: at the moment I am working on four bespoke projects, including portraits and floral compositions designed to complement specific interiors. I am a registered professional artist with an Italian VAT number, as painting is my main occupation.
