About Kamil Woj

My work is rooted in the landscape, painted on location to catch the rhythm of the place before it changes. But I apply this same visceral energy to my portraits and sketches. I don’t treat them differently: a face or a field, I attack both with the same direct, wet-on-wet intensity.

This approach comes from my background as a guitarist, including sessions with rock legend Pete Way. That experience taught me to perform without hesitation. I treat the canvas like a live gig: I paint with the same flair and attack that I used on stage. There are no second takes, just the honest mark of the moment.
