    This is how I paint:

I have a preference for pastel colours and enjoy applying them to large canvases. I cut them to the desired size, stick them to the wall with masking tape and paint them there. I hardly ever use an easel, partly because my formats rarely fit on one. When I am satisfied and the painting is finished, I stretch the canvas by hand onto a solid stretcher frame and seal the painting with UV protection so that you can enjoy it for a lifetime.

    Spontaneous random paintings.

Not every picture follows a specific plan. This selection of small works, painted very intuitively, originated from a large painting that just didn't want to work out. I cut it up, actually to throw it away, but then changed my mind. I worked on each small picture very quickly and without thinking, using acrylic pens. A spontaneous idea gave rise to a small series that I find very successful. Perhaps one of them will be included as an extra with one of your art purchases someday?
