The way Hongtao captures the depth, the shadow, the defining features, its softness, strength and the complexity of the human form, brings the art to life and provokes the senses. Capturing a females back is alone a true talent and shows a unique connection between eye and hand. All Hongtao’s drawings are remarkable.

Marvelous and versatile painter with the ability to explore highly sensual subject-----along with the capacity to take it very seriously or to mock lt. He is like Dante without the slightest fear that what the Judeo-Christian tradition labels sinful will lead to any kind of punishment. This painter also has an extremely high level of technical skill.

I ordered 3 drawings from Hongtao. They are just as pictured. Thanks so much. I am curious about the boxes over the head- I find this so interesting and purchased one drawing with this. Another is just purely beautiful and the last is really fun and interesting. Love them all. Thank you.
