Event: Exhibition on Artfinder
Dates: 23 Feb 2017 - 30 Apr 2017
For myself, I have taken the decision not to exhibit more in the gallery! For the following reason: much too expensive! Galleries ask an allowance / rent for the gallery conscious and surmounted by a committee that is high. This is not to survive to the artist! The artist is suppressed in its financial contribution, the gallery she income anyway! Give me the way of Artfinder!
Biography
Hildegarde Handsaeme is a Belgian contemporary artist celebrated for her minimalist feminine figures and geometric abstraction. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas and ink on paper, she creates striking, collectible artworks where purity of line, visual harmony, and structured emotion converge — resulting in a visual language that is both timeless and deeply poetic.
Over more than three decades of artistic practice, Handsaeme has produced over 200 original works, establishing herself as one of the most distinctive voices in European minimalist art. Her style has earned international recognition from leading curators and art advisors, including Quentin Métayer (Perrotin Gallery, Paris), Anastasia Mitrogogou (Podgorny Robinson & Perrotin), and the Titan Publishing Curatorial Board (2025).
By combining figurative elegance with minimalist strength, Handsaeme’s creations continue to inspire collectors, interior designers, and art lovers worldwide, making her a must-collect artist in today’s contemporary art scene.
