About Gulshaba Abbasova

I am inspired by the desire to convey atmosphere and emotion rather than literal images. Nature — especially the sea, open spaces, light, and sky — is a source of inner calm and reflection for me. An important part of my practice is also floral compositions, where I explore rhythm, form, and emotional states through color and texture. I often work in series, maintaining a consistent technique and color language, which allows me to develop a theme more deeply and create a cohesive visual narrative. I work primarily with oil paint, as it offers depth, richness, and the ability to subtly capture light and movement. Layered brushwork and texture help me create paintings that naturally live within a space and bring a quiet emotional presence to their surroundings. I regularly participate in international art fairs and exhibitions, including World Art Dubai and Affordable Art Fair in Hamburg. My works are also represented on international online platforms such as UGallery, Singulart, Saatchi Art, Jose Art Gallery, and ArtSmiley. This experience has helped me build a meaningful dialogue with an international audience and better understand collectors who value emotionally driven, original art.
