  • In the summer of 2016 I broke both my hands. Unable to paint for nearly two months, I used that time to study the techniques used by Impressionists and artists of the Hudson River School (whose work I have always admired). I am especially interested in capturing the texture in objects; the graininess of rocks, the texture in a slice of cake or broken loaf of bread. I work primarily in oil paint on panel.
