One moment, one sky — captured with color

This photo was taken at the 10th Painting Triennial of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, where my painting Sunset Symphony was exhibited. My process is intuitive and emotional — I work mostly with a palette knife, often outdoors, chasing atmosphere, movement, and light. Each painting is a visual memory, a response to a specific place and time. Even a small work can carry the full weight of a mood. It’s not about the size — it’s about what stays with you after you look away.

Awarded Hon. Mention – Cloud Waltz, June 2025

In June 2025, my painting Cloud Waltz received an Honourable Mention in the 15th Landscapes Art Exhibition hosted by Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. This recognition in the Paint & Other Media category is especially meaningful to me, as it celebrates not only the visual aspects of landscape painting, but also the emotional resonance and expressive approach I strive to bring to each work. Cloud Waltz was born from the quiet tension between movement and stillness — a rhythm I often chase when painting skies. It’s an honour to see this piece acknowledged among so many powerful entries from artists around the world.

My trusted pochade box, always packed and ready. It holds not just my tools, but the memory of countless landscapes, quiet moments, and changing skies.

    Immersed in the Landscape

    Immersed in the Landscape

There's no better way to understand a place than to sit quietly and paint it. This is how I gather the emotional notes that later shape my larger studio works.

    Plein Air Session in Progress

    Plein Air Session in Progress

Every plein air session is a visual diary entry — raw, fast, and intuitive. I chase mood, not detail, using quick gestures and bold color to hold onto the essence of the scene.

    Painting in the Field

    Painting in the Field

Capturing the fleeting beauty of nature directly on site. Working en plein air allows me to respond instinctively to light, wind, and atmosphere — the sensations I aim to translate into paint.
