Biography
Dan Schofield is a professional Artist and illustrator based in Manchester (UK).
He is an accomplished draftsman, and trained to the highest level in Classical Oil Painting and Printmaking. His fascination has evolved around developing dynamic landscapes. Environments that are full of energy and life, each form battling for its place amongst the many complex narratives that jump in and out of existence. His latest work focuses on the breakdown of landscape, addressing the complexities in breaching the fine line between figuration, abstraction and decoration. He is inspired by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo; Renaissance artists living in an age where the evolution of painting, drawing, alchemy and science combined and formed much of what we know today.
