  • Biography

Welcome to my Artfinder gallery shop! I'd love to help you find a resonant artwork that you'll love having in your home.

I create art to explore how we stay connected to pleasure, play, and hope - even in the midst of grief and uncertainty. Nature is both my muse and my sanctuary. I’m inspired by sensory moments in nature that evoke delight, awe, grounding, connection, or wholeness - those small, profound shifts in our inner landscape. Through my layered and textured mixed media paintings, I aim to capture the feeling of those moments and offer them as little portals back to what lights us up.

My work is deeply shaped by my experiences in my first career as a grief support therapist and my own journey with loss and chronic illness. After suddenly losing 80% of my vision and some of my hearing in 2013, I’ve come to cherish our sensory experiences more than ever. So I love to use mixed media to create a rich sensory experience in both the creative process and the enjoyment of the final painting.

I've exhibited my art in South Africa, the Netherlands, and the UK, and my original paintings are held in private collections around the world. I create and ship my paintings from my home studio in Utrecht. Feel free to be in touch if you have any questions or would like a video call to discuss your art purchase.
