Biography
Her work focuses on expressive portrait painting, exploring emotional intensity, psychological depth, and the raw presence of the human face. Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, she combines intuitive mark-making with deliberate compositional structure, allowing each piece to evolve organically during the painting process.
A distinctive aspect of her practice is the use of hand-cut linen fabric instead of traditional stretched canvases. This approach offers greater physical and creative freedom, reinforcing the immediacy and material honesty of the work. The surface itself becomes an active element, shaping both texture and expression.
Her paintings often balance contemporary visual language with subtle historical references, creating a dialogue between past and present. Color, gesture, and fragmentation are used to convey tension, vulnerability, and inner states rather than literal likeness.
The works have been presented in a variety of exhibition contexts, including solo and group shows as well as temporary installations in non-traditional spaces. These environments encourage a direct and immersive encounter with the artwork, outside the classical gallery setting.
Alongside independent projects, commissioned works are an integral part of her artistic practice, allowing for close collaboration and individualized visual narratives.
