About Artur Martirosyan
Biography
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, on May 5, 1963.
After graduating from school, he studied at the Department of Art of the Armenian State Pedagogical Institute (ASPU) from 1980 to 1985.
Upon graduation, he began his work as a teacher, and since 1989 he has been teaching painting, composition, and illustration at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).
Since 1990, he has been a member of the USSR Union of Artists, and since 1992 a member of the Artists' Union of Armenia.
In 1996 he received the degree of a candidate in pedagogical sciences.
In 2004 he received the scientific title of an associate professor, followed by the title of a professor in the Department of Fine Arts.
From 2011 to 2020 he worked as the director of the Art School after Avet Terteryan.
In 2023 he was the head of the Chair of Fine Arts at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).
