About Arinika Stratievsky

  • Biography

Art has accompanied her like a quiet pulse throughout her life. Educated at the Academy of Arts in Europe, where she earned a degree in Fashion Design, she was rigorously trained in academic drawing—from portraiture to the nude—and in decorative painting grounded in classical traditions. These foundations remain the invisible architecture beneath her work, giving structure to intuition and freedom to expression.

Her journey began with silk—an ancient, breathing surface that responds to touch like living light. What started as fascination evolved into monumental silk compositions, where fragility and scale coexisted in delicate tension. Through this demanding medium, she learned patience, surrender, and the quiet dialogue between control and chance.

Her works have been exhibited in European galleries and now live in private collections. For years, she created commissioned pieces, translating unspoken emotions and personal narratives into form, color, and movement.

There was a sacred pause in her artistic path when she turned fully toward motherhood, raising her three children. In that intimate season of life, she returned to paper and pencil—stripping away complexity and rediscovering the essential gesture. Drawing became meditation, breath, and quiet resilience.

In recent years, her practice has evolved into multi-layered painting—an exploration of depth, translucency, and the unseen spaces between color and silence. Light moves through her surfaces; air seems to linger within them. Each work unfolds slowly, built through countless subtle decisions, as if the painting reveals itself only when listened to with patience.

For her, art is not merely creation—it is continuity. It is the thread that weaves through every chapter of her life, an enduring companion, a language beyond words, and a space where inner and outer worlds meet.
