About Angel Chau

Hello, I’m Angel Chau—a Hong Kong-born artist living in Italy. My artistic journey began in childhood, inspired by my father, who was both an art teacher and my first creative mentor.

Having grown up in the bustling city of Hong Kong, I now find inspiration in a quieter, more scenic life. I live in a beautiful town near Lake Maggiore with my Italian artist husband, surrounded by natural beauty and a vibrant creative community.

My paintings are a vibrant blend of Asian and European influences, brought to life with bold colors, dynamic brushwork, and expressive techniques. I work primarily in oils for their depth and richness, but I also love using acrylics with palette knives to build texture and convey a powerful sense of movement on the canvas.

For me, art is a continuous exploration. I am always seeking new ways to capture energy, movement, and emotion—drawing inspiration from nature and the raw depths of human feeling. My joyful spirit infuses each piece, spreading happiness and positivity through color and form.

Each artwork is a living celebration. With every brushstroke, I hope others feel the beauty within and around them, and cherish the idea: “Life’s a canvas; color it with your joy.”
