    Venue: Johannis Kirche, Kassel, Germany

Water, especially the sea, holds deep-rooted spiritual significance in numerous cultures. It is considered the origin of all life, an element of purification, healing, and transformation. Water also plays a central role in Christianity: as an element of creation, a symbol of baptism, renewal, and divine grace.

In a post-truth era characterized by insecurity, overstimulation, and uncertainty, the need to reconnect with our origins is growing.

In this exhibition, Alina Hubarenko explores the sea as a multifaceted entity and as a symbol of the primordial flood: an element that is both literally and metaphorically charged. The paintings, along with an interactive art installation featuring real seawater, invite visitors to connect with the sea, practice mindfulness, and reconnect with their emotional and spiritual selves.
