About Alfie Poelsing

  • Biography

Alfie Poelsing is a German-English artist based in Central London. His work transforms personal experiences into surreal landscapes, where symbolism carries layered and often subtle meanings. A recurring motif throughout his practice is the hand—a symbol not of civilisation, but of humanity as a species defined by control.

Alfie's work revolves around ideas of power, vulnerability and the ominous, often playing with light and shadow to create a lurking sense of unease and mystery.

He has been studying Art History with Curating at Birkbeck College in Bloomsbury since late 2024.
