Peace Centre - Mall of Good
The Story: As a Placemaker of Good Playpan.co took over a soon-to-be demolished Peace Centre for 6 months to create a visionary social, community business space. They worked with our PlayPan Collective to transform 400,000 sqf of retail spaces into a vibrant playground for creative collaborations, businesses and events driven by positive change.
Impact: Through this social experiment, we could see positive change and societal impact through our collective collaborations to reimagine spaces, giving and culture. This has given rise to an innovative form of curated experiences, organised by different stakeholders to encourage play for good together in a collaborative and immersive manner.

Biography
Alena [a-liO-na] is a figurative artist working primarily in oil and watercolour, painting en plein air and from life in the alla prima style. Her subjects range from landscapes and architecture to objects often found at antique markets.
With a background in architecture and interior design, Alena brings a subtle but distinct graphic quality and structure to her work, along with a deep appreciation for interiors and objects.
Her eight years in tropical Singapore, along with extensive travels throughout Southeast Asia, have infused her palette with vibrant colours, energy, and light.
After years of balancing her roles as an artist and educator with a career in architecture and corporate and hospitality interior design, Alena made the bold decision to become a full-time artist in 2022—and she hasn’t looked back since.
