About Agostino Veroni
Biography
I am a modern oil painter from Italy. I create original artworks using textured painting, impasto technique, and expressive palette knife strokes. My floral scenes, Tuscan landscapes, beach views, and seascapes are rooted in plein air painting and modern impressionist art. Many of my paintings reflect the beauty of iconic places such as Positano, the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Florence, Venice, and Rome.
“To paint is to tell what I feel, what strikes me. Nature is the protagonist of my paintings. I love to paint from life to capture the essence—the emotion in the colors that overlap and blend into each other.”
I was born in Livorno in 1963 and discovered a passion for drawing and color early in life. At sixteen, I met Maestro Ferruccio Mataresi, a turning point in my development. I studied classical drawing but quickly gravitated toward color and materials as tools of emotional expression. Under the guidance of Maestro Giulio da Vicchio, I refined my instinct as a colorist.
With Master Masaniello Luschi I deepened this vision, starting to paint from life. That’s when everything changed—on the canvas, everything came together: the drawing, the light, the color caught en plein air.
Over time, I focused entirely on plein air painting to capture nature’s essence. My bold, textured brushstrokes combine floral detail with vibrant impasto layers. Through this style, my work conveys warmth, energy, and movement.
