There’s a little more going on here than the typical still life with lemons. Maybe it’s the shadows or the brushwork. A study of lemons that verges on emotion. It’s intimate. I liked it enough to buy it. It’s not framed, ready to hang. I might make a frame for it, tho. I might go nuts a spend a fortune on a huge ornate frame. Not sure why, to play off the intimacy and the depth of the one shadow, maybe. I’ll buy more from this artist.

Somehow Afekwo’s work is even more beautiful in person. She has such a sensitive gift for capturing these moments in paint. Her work expresses more than an image… her paintings express a feeling. The painting was shipped very carefully and quickly and arrived perfectly. Afekwo’s communication throughout was perfect. I recommend Afekwo’s work most highly and am very proud that her work is now part of our collection.

This oil painting is a lovely addition to my collection. The Woodpecker is even better in person although the photos were accurate. The colors are vibrant and the woodpecker is life-like. I appreciate Afekwo's talent and skill.

Just lovely! Fabulous colour. Only I had to pay extra for postage to receive my artwork - worth it though.
