Artwork description
Yosemite, California. August 2003.
Shot on film with my Leica.
I love this place. Ansel Adams helped with my obsession. Slept at camp 4 and thought I was a climber until I got to the bottom of El Cap and looked up to it's fairytale height.
The view felt huge, open, still and sort of heavy and light. Untethered. I wonder if birds feel like that.
I could smell woodsmoke from the controlled fires on the forest floor, and that lovely smell of Scots Pine trees.
A Note on Process
Every print I sell is made in my own studio and checked for every detail and quality before I pack it for shipping. I use plastic free packaging.
The paper I use is the finest quality and after years of experimenting, I find it gives the best tonal range and finish.
Hahnemühle has been making art papers for hundreds of years.
