Where Light Remains (2026) Original Oil Painting by Aloosan

70 x 50 x 2cm (unframed)

$1,384.68

Where Light Remains is an original oil painting exploring the sensation of light emerging from within a quiet, atmospheric field.

Layered transitions of deep olive and khaki green meet a muted plum-violet passage, while restrained notes of rust, copper and golden light appear and disappear across the surface. Subtle metallic pigments respond to changing illumination: in neutral daylight the painting remains soft and contemplative, while viewed from an angle, the gold begins to glow and the surface gently shifts with its surroundings.

The composition may suggest a distant horizon or an opening into space, yet it is not intended as a literal landscape. Its character lies precisely in this ambiguity — between landscape and abstraction, distance and presence, stillness and emerging light.

Created through layered oil painting and subtle tonal transitions, the work belongs to Aloosan’s continuing exploration of light, silence and contemplative space.
