Where Dreams Take Wing captures the quiet moment when imagination begins to transcend reality — when a thought becomes a dream, and a dream finds its wings.

The girl's peaceful expression contrasts with the extraordinary upward movement of the sculpture. Her face remains still, while the composition stretches toward the butterfly, creating a feeling of lightness, aspiration and freedom.

The golden freckles are an important part of the work. Like tiny sparks of light, they emphasize the youth and individuality of the girl and subtly connect her with the golden butterfly above.

The intentionally open and irregular structure at the back reveals the handmade nature of the piece and adds a sense of fragility and imperfection. The rich turquoise and blue surface, touched with metallic golden accents, changes with the light and emphasizes every texture and sculpted detail.

For me, this sculpture is about the freedom to dream — especially that extraordinary freedom we possess when we are young, before we learn to tell ourselves that something is impossible.

Sometimes all we need is to close our eyes and allow our dreams to take wing.
