Original artwork description
Vibrant Black was inspired by Kazimir Malevich’s Black Square and the language of Suprematism. Using a deep black field as an active part of the composition, I introduced bold geometric forms in vivid colour, interrupted by delicate curved and diagonal lines. The work plays with the contrast between order and spontaneity, darkness and colour, paying homage to Malevich while exploring these ideas through my own contemporary visual language.
