Untitled #105 (2026) Original Painting by Pasmur Rachuiko

19.69 x 27.56 x 0.39"

$1,345.8

This painting was the title work of Sainte Angoisse, Pasmur Rachuiko’s solo exhibition at Galerie Mourlot Jeu de Paume in Marseille in 2026.

The work reflects one of the central ideas of the exhibition: anxiety as a lasting condition rather than a temporary disturbance. Set in a birch grove, the scene brings together a dark, veiled figure and a red goat suspended in mid-air, creating a space between physical reality and personal myth.

In Sainte Angoisse, familiar environments lose their ordinary character and begin to reveal hidden rituals, visions and metaphysical phenomena. The recurring black-clad figure exists at the threshold between presence and disappearance, protection and estrangement, inaccessible inner life and vulnerability.

Here, anxiety does not erupt — it becomes still. It takes the form of silence, gesture and ritual. The painting evokes a liminal world in which catastrophe is no longer a single event, but an enduring state, and where the search for meaning persists within the fractures of reality.

I work on canvas with artist-grade vinyl emulsion, often incorporating a small amount of acrylic.

For long-distance shipping, I can remove the canvas from its stretcher bars and send it rolled in a protective tube, at the buyer’s request. The canvas would need to be re-stretched after delivery.

Materials used:

vinyl emulsion and acrylic on linen canvas
