Twins - diptych (2018) Original Oil Painting by Kujbus Janos
80 x 50 x 2cm (unframed)
$1,846.24
Original artwork description
This original diptych, measuring 30x40 cm and 40x50 cm, is created in the style of Contemporary Figurative Pop Art with distinct elements of Narrative Realism.
Why did I divide this portrait into two separate canvases?
This diptych is my personal visual study on how we perceive other people—and how they perceive us in return. Often, we focus either only on a person's face and eyes, or we judge them purely by their clothes, style, and posture.
By separating the face from the body, I split the character into two different "twins" of the very same identity.
This artwork is my open invitation to your own self-reflection. I wanted to challenge us to think about the masks we wear in contemporary society and whether what we show on the outside truly matches what is hidden in our eyes.
When placed in your interior, these two parallel canvases act as a silent mirror, prompting ongoing thoughts about human nature, identity, and the superficial ways we evaluate one another in daily life.
Materials used:
