The Whispering Woods (2026) Original Oil Painting by Mykhailo Khalin

Rendered in a deeply atmospheric Tonalist style, this large-scale artwork features a mystical, storm-swept night landscape. A veiled, glowing moon shines through swirling, textured clouds, casting a muted warmth over dark silhouetted trees and a shadowy valley below. The expressive brushwork, rich sfumato lighting, and sepia-toned palette evoke the poetic gravity of 19th-century fine art.

Thanks to its impressive 28x40 size, this piece serves as a commanding focal point above a fireplace, sofa, or desk in Dark Academia, Gothic Romantic, Modern Organic, or Vintage Rustic spaces.
