Strelitzia (2026) Original Oil Painting by Olga Van Dine

A continuation of my tropical painting series, inspired by the lush landscapes of Bali. Strelitzia, also known as the Bird of Paradise flower, is one of the most recognizable tropical flowers of the island. Its extraordinary shape and striking combination of vivid yellow and deep blue petals make it a fascinating subject for a botanical painting.

I was drawn to the sculptural form of the flower and the way its bright petals contrast with the rich green foliage surrounding it. In this contemporary floral oil painting, I wanted to capture not only the beauty of the exotic flower, but also the atmosphere of a tropical garden — warm, lush and full of life.

The composition combines botanical art, tropical nature and an expressive interpretation of the landscape, creating a sense of depth and movement. Soft areas of sky and atmospheric color contrast with the saturated greens and vibrant flower, giving the painting a dreamlike quality.

This original oil painting will bring an exotic, tropical feeling to a contemporary interior and is especially suited to spaces inspired by nature, travel and botanical design.

The artwork is shipped rolled in a protective tube.
