Spring Whisper (2026) Original Watercolour by Hai Doan

Spring Whisper is an original watercolor inspired by the gentle awakening of flowers in spring. Two soft pink blossoms emerge among long, flowing leaves and delicate stems, creating a composition filled with movement yet stillness.

I painted the flowers loosely, allowing the watercolor and brush to move naturally rather than defining every petal. The open white space is an important part of the composition, giving the flowers room to breathe and reflecting the simplicity and balance found in traditional Asian brush painting.

To me, this painting feels like the first quiet days of spring—a reminder that beauty does not always arrive loudly. Sometimes it appears softly, almost like a whisper.
