Original artwork description
Silent Currents is an original black ink drawing on paper featuring a solitary profile surrounded by broad, circulating strokes.
The figure faces upward while a large spiral-like movement develops behind the shoulder and continues through the body. Long curved lines travel around the head, neck, and torso, creating the impression of a current passing through the figure rather than simply surrounding it.
Despite the strong movement of the brushstrokes, the profile itself remains composed and still. This contrast between a quiet human presence and the energy moving around it gives the work its tension: an outward stillness shaped by continuous movement underneath.
