Scarlet Rhythm (2026) Photograph by Anna List

Scarlet Rhythm captures poppies as a force of movement, passion and life. Their vivid red forms, varied stages of blooming and tactile petals create a visual rhythm that feels almost musical, as if the flowers are calling the viewer into motion.

The work is filled with energy and emotional intensity. Set against the muted field-like background, the poppies appear as a sudden eruption of colour, embodying urgency, vitality and the irresistible impulse to live fully.
