Fragments of an Unstable Order (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by KAZUMA WATANABE

59 x 42 x 3cm

$1,200

Fragments of an Unstable Order explores the tension between structure and spontaneity, between the systems we create and the impulses we cannot control.

Layers of rhythmic lines, geometric forms and fragmented patterns overlap with gestural marks, organic shapes and traces of movement. What initially appears to be an organized visual system gradually begins to break apart, revealing a more instinctive and unpredictable world beneath it.

The painting can be seen as a visual landscape of contemporary life — a place where information, memories, architecture, emotions and fragments of everyday experience constantly collide and reorganize themselves.

Rather than presenting a fixed image, the work invites the viewer to move through its layers and discover different relationships between order and chaos, repetition and chance, control and freedom.

The painting is not a representation of a particular place. It is a record of a process — the moment when order begins to transform into something alive.
