Rhythms (2020) Original Oil Painting by Cezary Stachura

Rhythms is a contemplative painting created in a deep, almost monochromatic palette of black and dark blue. The composition is formed by vertical, irregular streaks of light that may evoke gaps between wooden boards, traces of falling rain, or fragments of a hidden structure. Their repetition establishes a visual rhythm, yet the varying lengths, intensity, and placement of the lines prevent it from becoming mechanical or predictable.

The dark space of the painting creates an atmosphere of silence, concentration, and mystery. Isolated light accents lead the viewer’s eye into the depth of the composition, suggesting a presence of light beyond an enclosed surface. Rhythms can be read as a visual reflection on repetition, the passage of time, and the search for order within apparent chaos.

This work would suit an interior that values contemplative art, expressive texture, and a subtle emotional narrative.
