RHINO HEAD – SHIELD OF ANCIENT STRENGTH
🔷 MY VISION:
I focused entirely on the expressive epicentre of wildlife resilience, capturing the profound intensity and raw, primeval power found in the rhinoceros.
This artwork presents a stylized portrait synthesized into clean, robust cubistic planes. The sharp, towering horn, deep-set watchful eye, and heavily textured folds of the neck form a calculated balance of rugged weight and reflecting metallic light.
Through this radical simplification and a multi-layered bronze patina, I wanted to freeze a sense of unyielding focus, ancient memory, and independent dignity.
It is an exploration of how a compact portrait can project maximum physical presence and protective energy above its solid bronze base.
