REVERIE

Reverie is a sculpture about the quiet space between reality and imagination.

A serene female face emerges from an organic wooden form, as if becoming part of something larger than herself. The natural curves of the wood suggest movement — perhaps a wave, perhaps something ancient and undefined. With her eyes closed, the figure seems suspended in a private world, somewhere between dreaming and awakening.

I wanted to leave the image deliberately open. The form may evoke water, a mythical presence, or simply the movement of thought and emotion. Reverie is about that moment when the boundaries between ourselves and the world around us begin to dissolve.

The sculpture combines the raw, unique character of natural wood with the delicacy of a hand-sculpted face, creating a contrast between nature and the human presence.
