Red Onions (2024) Original Oil Painting by Peter Frost

This painting was made two years ago after a particularly good harvest year for onions. I laid them out to dry in the sun and a few days later I had the idea to painting them just as they were, laying on an old bench. I think I have captured their colour and texture. The frame is a plain off white frame with a simple lip which I think suits the picture.
