Red and Black Solid (1967-8) Giclée print by Terry Frost

Lithograph on paper. Original size: 62.2 x 43.5cm. All the hallmarks of a Terry Frost: the boldness and pureness of the colours reflective of his time spent in the States just before this was created. And yet its abstract simplicity belies, perhaps, a connection to the body. A relief version very similar to this work was sub-titled ‘Mae West’ after the famously curvy actress of that name.

This print is authorised for publication by the artist's Estate and has a seal of authenticity embossed onto the white paper margin. It is from a limited edition of 850 and is hand-numbered and hand-embossed. This print has a typed caption running along its paper border. The caption indicates permission and authorisation from the artist's Estate, and from the museum or gallery holding the work. The caption will be concealed by a mount when the print is framed.
