Rain 2026 (2026) Original Watercolour by Gesa Reuter

Often I paint storm or rain because it has its own beauty. Also, weather like this resembles times in life when life is difficult and we have to cope.

Watermarks and lines and other watercolor effects are important to this work especially and keep fascinating me. I am using the traces of water and in these paintings, water does the work together with the pigments.

I also love small art as it transports a lot and you have to study it carefully. It´s easy to be impressed by big art but small art needs more concentration.
Also, it looks great to hang small works as a series.
