Plums on a Plate (2026) Original Ink Drawing by Vasyl Koval

A striking monochromatic composition where organic forms, architectural shapes, and expressive shadows come together in a delicate balance. Bold black strokes contrast with soft white highlights, creating a rich interplay of light, texture, and space. The central tree-like forms rise above geometric structures, while smaller objects on the left add a subtle sense of everyday life. The loose, energetic lines give the scene a spontaneous character, somewhere between a still life, a landscape, and an abstract study. Plums on a Plate is less about depicting a single subject and more about exploring the visual poetry of ordinary surroundings through contrast, rhythm, and simplicity.
