Playing Ball II (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Anastasiia Aguf

60 x 50 x 1.5cm (unframed) / 60 x 50cm (actual image size)

$2,310

Playing Ball II is a symbolic painting exploring the relationship between Planet Earth, marine life and the vast universe.
A single enormous whale moves through a deep blue cosmic space, passing beneath the Earth as if the universe itself had become an infinite ocean. The unexpected difference in scale makes our planet appear small and fragile, while the whale becomes part of a mysterious world extending far beyond familiar boundaries.
The painting continues the concept of Playing Ball, where shifts in scale invite a different perception of the Earth and humanity’s place within a much larger living world. Ocean and cosmos merge into one space, connecting life on our planet with the mystery of the universe.
Layers of ultramarine, cobalt, turquoise and luminous blue create depth and movement, while scattered yellow and white marks evoke distant stars and cosmic light.
